The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is hosting a series of informational sessions about the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program. WIFIA is a five-year pilot program that provides tax-free municipal bonds and low-interest loans for up to 49% of the cost of construction for water, wastewater, stormwater and water reuse projects.
The informational sessions are for prospective WIFIA borrowers including municipal entities, corporations, partnerships, State Revolving Fund programs and non-governmental organizations, and organizations that support prospective borrowers. In each session, EPA will focus on a specific topic and provide participants the opportunity to ask questions.
