On Thursday, September 28, WateReuse Association Board Member Jon Freedman of GE Water & Process Technologies participated in a Capitol Hill briefing on the Critical Role of Water in Manufacturing.  A national group of expert panelists explored collaborations evolving in various sectors in relation to challenges associated with water and manufacturing.  Many panelists, including representatives from Dow, DuPont and Intel, discussed the importance of water recycling in their overall manufacturing processes.  Finally,  panelists presented opportunities for federal engagement where neither industry nor academia have the capacity to facilitate system-wide improvements, especially in the area of federal investment in water infrastructure and all agreed that Congress should move forward with an infrastructure investment package as soon as possible.
