2024 WRTX Conference Keynote Announcement

WateReuse Texas is thrilled to announce that our 2024 keynote speaker will be Dr. Jill Williamson, NASA International Space Station (ISS) Water Subsystems Manager. Dr. Williamson works at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where she manages the ISS Water Recovery System to ensure pristine quality water is available to astronauts for food rehydration and drinks as well as for ISS payloads and oxygen generation. This water recovery system uses both novel and classic water recycling technology that can be operated efficiently within a microgravity environment.

In addition to her role as Water Subsystems Manager, Dr. Williamson is the Water Management Co-Task Lead for the Mars Campaign Office’s Systems Capabilities Leadership Team. She has 10 years of unique expertise in water recycling and management for microgravity application as found on the ISS. Jill has a B.S in Chemistry from the University of Central Missouri, and M.S. and PhD. in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Memphis where she specialized in developing water quality analyzers for an ISS Water Recovery System architecture.

The annual WateReuse Texas (WRTX) conference brings together industry leaders in water reuse for education, conversation, and networking to promote the growing water reuse industry in Texas. In addition to plenary sessions and three technical breakout tracks about reuse-related research, funding, case studies, treatment technologies, communications, advocacy, and more, the WRTX conference agenda includes:
