Breakfast Plenary – Water Reuse for Artificial Intelligence: Fostering Partnerships that Fuel a Circular Water Economy

Tuesday, March 10, 8:00am

Next-generation data centers, semiconductor manufacturing plants, and the water that fuels them are the backbone of the AI revolution. The global AI market is expected to increase from $189 billion in 2023 to $4.8 trillion by 2033—a 25-fold increase over a decade. Learn about public-private partnerships that demonstrate how utilities and businesses can work together to fuel this transformation.

Breakfast Plenary: The Road to Reuse in America’s Heartland

Wednesday, March 11, 8:00am

Communities in the midwestern United States are increasingly and rapidly turning to water recycling to address a variety of water management challenges. These challenges range from aging infrastructure, groundwater depletion, and nutrient pollution to resiliency needs around industrial and agricultural water use, as well as intensified storm and flood events. Join us for an insightful discussion of how Midwest communities, many in water-abundant regions, are developing and implementing water reuse programs.

Special Events

State Water Reuse Regulatory Summit

Invite Only
Wednesday, March 11, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Join state regulators to share best practices and experiences developing water reuse frameworks that protect public health while increasing opportunities for local water resilience and sustainability. This summit, co-located with the annual WateReuse Symposium, is hosted by the WateReuse Association, the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators, and the Association of Clean Water Administrators.

This full-day workshop book-ends a solutions-oriented Symposium that begins with Sunday’s State Regulatory Guidebook Workshop, open to all conference registrants.

Public Officials & Senior Management Roundtable – Leveraging Investments in a One Water World

Invite Only
Tuesday, March 10, 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Water utilities face pressure to manage investments to meet increasing demand and regulatory compliance. The One Water approach values all water, fostering recovery and revitalization. This roundtable is for invited elected officials and senior managers involved in potable reuse projects. They can participate in or observe discussions on practical ways to link One Water/Water Reuse solutions for accomplishing more with their future water investments.

Moderated by Mark Millan (Data Instincts) and Vijay Sundaram (AECOM), the 90-minute session, followed by a private reception, will involve interactive discussions, questions, and viewpoints. Unlike typical panels, this format encourages active participation and rapid peer-to-peer exchanges on key topics related to implementing potable reuse projects.

Optimizing capital investments by identifying synergies between water, wastewater, stormwater, and other streams is essential due to regulatory requirements, aging infrastructure, and other factors. Wastewater effluent is an underutilized resource, and reuse is vital to maximize available water resources.
