WateReuse Congratulates New WEF Executive Director, Expands Partnership

Date: June 14, 2019

The WateReuse Association congratulates the Water Environment Federation (WEF) on its June 7 announcement that it has selected Walter Marlowe, P.E., CAE as its new Executive Director effective September 9. Although WateReuse and WEF have a long history of working together, the two organizations executed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in March to facilitate greater collaboration with a goal of expanding water reuse research, education, funding, and understanding of best practices.

“We are excited to welcome Walter Marlowe to WEF. He brings a wealth of executive management experience that will be beneficial to the water sector and we look forward to a continuing our partnership under his leadership,’’ said WateReuse Executive Director Patricia Sinicropi.

Marlowe is currently the Executive Director of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and was previously the Executive Director of the Construction Specifications Institute and the Executive Director of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers. Under our recent MOU, WateReuse and WEF will partner more closely on the Annual WateReuse Symposium, publications, advocacy, public engagement, and other special projects.
