Timothy Gualandri
President
Fox River Water Reclamation District

Mr. Gualandri currently serves as the District Engineer for the Fox River Water Reclamation District (FRWRD). Mr. Gualandri is a water reuse enthusiast with a passion for helping communities identify the benefits which reclaiming water can bring to all stakeholders within the community. Prior to working for the FRWRD, Mr. Gualandri’s professional career began 13 years ago working as an engineering consultant. During his time as a consultant, he worked on both water and wastewater engineering projects for solving complex environmental issues for communities across the country. His work has taught him the importance of adopting the “One Water” concept by understanding that all water is recycled. When properly implemented, water reuse can provide communities a resilient water source while returning value back to the community. Mr. Gualandri is a registered professional engineer in the State of Illinois and Oklahoma.

Kevin Fitzpatrick

Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago

Kevin Fitzpatrick has been a professional engineer working in the water resources field for 25 years. Mr. Fitzpatrick is the Assistant Director of Engineering at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, overseeing the work of approximately 100 engineers, including the $3.8 billion Tunnel and Reservoir Plan, other stormwater management projects, collection system improvement projects, and administering the Watershed Management Ordinance to regulate development and local sewer construction.

Cyrus McMains
Vice President 
Yorkville-Bristol Sanitary District

Cyrus McMains has a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Bradley University and is a registered Professional Engineer in IL.  He has worked in the water/wastewater industry for 25+ years, first as an engineering consultant and, since 2017, as Executive Director of the Yorkville-Bristol Sanitary District (YBSD).

Sharon Waller

Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago

Sharon Waller is an elected Commissioner of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and the Principal of Sustainable Systems LLC – Consulting. Sharon holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University and BSCE and MSCE from Purdue University.

Karen Clementi
National Representative
Fox River Water Reclamation District

Karen K. Clementi is the District Manager for the Fox Metro Water Reclamation District (Fox Metro).  Fox Metro is the 2nd largest sanitary district in the State of Illinois, faithfully conveying and treating wastewater for over 300,000 people in the Aurora area.  Karen has over 25 years of experience in the wastewater field, focusing on environmental compliance and sustainability.  Fox Metro has constructed 17 acres of solar fields on their campus, is building the first wastewater renewable natural gas project in Illinois, and investing in renewable energy throughout their facilities. The Illinois Water Reuse chapter is Fox Metro’s latest sustainability initiative to “give water a second chance”, which has been Fox Metro’s responsibility for almost 100 years.
