National Plan to Increase Water Reuse Launched at 34th Annual WateReuse Symposium

The third day of the 34th Annual WateReuse Symposium was a landmark day with the release of a draft of the nation’s first Water Reuse Action Plan, facilitated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with support from federal partners, the water sector, and other stakeholders. The day began with a breakfast plenary in which leaders from seven national water organizations discussed how each could support implementation of the plan. After a full day of technical sessions, attendees will relax at a reception tonight at the Maritime Museum of San Diego that includes food, music, and a “Pure Brew” competition where participants will judge the best of ten homebrewed beers made with purified water from the City of San Diego.
