WateReuse California Conference: Learning, Networking and Fun!

Date: March 29, 2018

WateReuse California welcomed 530 people to its Annual Conference in Monterey on March 25-27 for three days of learning, networking, and fun.

The 2018 WateReuse California Annual Conference included more than 50 technical presentations and panels discussing some of the amazing projects and ongoing research that is propelling the water recycling industry forward. Panels included Health and Medical Perspectives of Water Recycling, Transitioning to Potable Reuse, and much more.

California Assembly Member Bill Quirk received an award at a Tuesday morning breakfast for authoring landmark legislation (AB 574) advancing potable reuse in California. The breakfast concluded with an entertaining face off between utility general managers in a game of Family Feud — North vs. South edition.

California’s Central Coast Chapter took the lead in organizing the event, which included hundreds of hours from 38 volunteers. The California Board of Trustees thanks the conference volunteers and the many sponsors and exhibitors who make the California conference and the Section’s advocacy and education in California possible.
