Pure Water San Diego

Join us for an exclusive tour of the City of San Diego’s North City Pure Water Facility, where you’ll get a sneak peek at the exciting progress being made toward San Diego’s water future. Once complete, the facility will become the cornerstone of Pure Water Phase 1, a groundbreaking initiative that will provide 30 million gallons per day of drinking water for the city through surface water augmentation. During the tour, you’ll see the innovative technology used to transform the City into a key player in water purification and sustainability.

East County AWP
Sunday, September 21 | 11AM – 3PM
The East County Advanced Water Purification Program is an indirect potable reuse project that will produce up to 30 percent of the region’s drinking water, with purified water production set to begin in late 2026. Nestled in Sycamore Canyon, north of Santee Lakes, the 30-acre site houses the Program’s advanced water purification, water recycling and solids handling facilities. This exclusive tour will give visitors a behind the scenes look at the more than two dozen structures and buildings under construction.
