The WateReuse Association celebrates the allocation of $310 million in funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) for the planning, design, and construction of water reuse projects across the country. This funding is the first of $550 million made available by the IIJA for the Title XVI Water Reuse Grants Program, and is nearly five times larger than the average annual investment in the program up until this point. The funding will support the projects of 21 WateReuse members. WateReuse led the advocacy campaign that secured $1 billion for western water recycling as part of the IIJA and has supported the United States Department of the Interior (DOI) and other government agencies in disseminating these funds to construct essential water reuse projects.

Los Alamos County Utilities joins the WateReuse Association and the New Mexico Section. Los Alamos uses recycled water to irrigate parks and fields across the county.
