Please help us to build a national Water Reuse Communications Library! Your materials will help communities across the United States and beyond to build trust and understanding of recycled water. The library will host a broad range of materials that utilities and other communicators can borrow or use as inspiration – whether they are just beginning to envision water reuse or are looking to breathe new energy into their water reuse communications. Materials can include PDFs, graphics, web tools, videos, or other formats. We’re seeking communications materials intended for all purposes including general outreach, K-12 education, government relations, and policy advocacy.

DC Water joins WateReuse Association as a founding member of the WateReuse Mid-Atlantic section and a world-class drinking water and wastewater treatment utility. DC Water’s LEED Platinum headquarters captures rainwater for onsite reuse.

Last week, the Soquel Creek Water District’s “butterfly” logo for its Pure Water Soquel project earned the Award of Distinction from the California Association of Public Information Officials. “Butterflies are associated with our local area and in many ways represent transformation, transition, change, hope, and life. In those respects, Pure Water Soquel — and how it transforms water — is very much like a butterfly,” said Becca Rubin, the District’s Public Outreach Coordinator and the logo’s designer. When complete, Pure Water Soquel will use purified recycled water to replenish groundwater and prevent seawater intrusion. Read more.

Join U.S. EPA's free webinar to learn more about the Regulations and End-Use Specifications Explorer (REUSExplorer)—a web-based tool to examine water reuse regulations across the United States. REUSExplorer examines state water reuse regulations and guidelines and highlights the underlying technical basis of water quality metrics and treatment requirements. It is intended to be a resource for stakeholders interested in developing laws or policies for reuse, understanding the technical aspects of a regulation or guideline, and/or identifying whether reuse applications are regulated within a particular state.
