Earlier this month, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it is looking for nominees, including water reuse experts, for its Science Advisory Board (SAB). The SAB was originally chartered in the 1970s as a mechanism to ensure peer reviewed, independent recommendations from subject matter experts including scientists, engineers, and researchers. Subject matter priorities for this SAB include water reuse, water quantity, drinking water, drinking water engineering, ecology, public health, risk assessment, sustainability, and water quality. Nominations will remain open until the end of May 2025, and nominees will serve a two-to-three-year term as Special Government Employees. |
