State Updates and Member Profiles

Welcome New Members!

The WateReuse Association welcomes the following new members:

California: Communications Collaborative Group to Convene January 23

The WateReuse California Communications Collaborative Group provides a forum to discuss and collaborate on potable water reuse communications. The group is open to all WateReuse California members. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Office of Brown and Caldwell, located at 210 N. Civic Drive in Walnut Creek.

Please review the agenda and RSVP no later than January 14.

Meeting participants will brainstorm on creating a term/phrase to brand potable reuse and replace “toilet-to-tap.” When you register, you will be asked to make a suggestion(s) for this term/phrase.

California: WateReuse California Gear Available at Online store

Visit the WateReuse California Gear Store while it is still open! The store’s mission is to help members spread their WateReuse pride by providing an opportunity to purchase apparel. All pieces will be embroidered with the WateReuse California Logo. Please note that this is a store for members to purchase WateReuse Apparel, and is not a fundraiser for WateReuse.

To provide enough time for members to place orders and receive their apparel prior to the WateReuse California Conference in March 2019, the store will be open now through Saturday February 9, 2019. Once the store closes all orders will be processed and shipped within 3 weeks. If you have any questions about the store or ordering process, please see the contact information in the online store. Check out the WateReuse California Store here and place your order!

Florida: Potable Reuse Commission to Convene January 18

Florida’s Potable Reuse Commission (PRC) is a consensus group of stakeholders working to develop a framework for the implementation of potable reuse in Florida. Chaired by WateReuse Florida President Lynn Spivey, the PRC will submit recommendations, proposed legislation, and a regulatory path to policymakers and regulators for consideration. The next PRC meeting will be on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Toho Water at 9:30 a.m. The materials from previous meetings, future meeting dates and other helpful information is available on WateReuse Florida’s website
