Each committee is to be self-sustaining and it is the responsibility of the committee chair to solicit members to join and participate in their committee. Committee members will support the mission of the WateReuse Arizona Section and will work in a collegial manner fostering respect, understanding and mutual respect.
The Board is a "results" oriented board and has the following expectations from committees. These expectations are listed in priority:
- Make steady progress in meeting goals.
- Present to Board how goals will be accomplished.
- Provide progress reports to the Board either orally or in writing at each Board meeting.
- Reports should be specific to goals.
- Meet independently outside of regular Board meetings.
- Regularly attend quarterly meetings.
- Provide input to the strategic plan on an annual basis.
- Provide an annual written report to Board (at least one page) and should be specific to goals.
- Submit budget requests annually to Board.
- Develop a succession plan and an internal organizational structure, i.e. chair, vice-chair, etc.
